The standards included in the Medical Staff Chapter of the Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals are some of the most difficult to understand and many organizations struggle with developing mechanisms for compliance. This program will not only provide an overview of these standards, but will provide tips and tools for compliance. Included is discussion of the standards related to performance improvement, management and oversight of patient care, focused and ongoing professional practice evaluation, bylaws, medical staff structure, licensed independent practitioner health, and continuing medical education.
